In today's scenario everything is dynamic except change, which is continuous worldwide. No single organization is the best in terms of all the processes, and the cultures have a strong influence on the effectiveness of organizations. It is important to understand, appreciate and emulate the best practices of the organizations irrespective of the nature, type and geographical location of the business, and to use it to be proactive in understanding the needs of the hour in benchmarking the best practices in designing organizations. The journal would especially address itself to these research studies which would be of use to both researchers and organization innovators.
There is also a need to develop and nourish the novel perspective of understanding the organizations, which can be a boon for the entrepreneurs when they are on the verge of promoting new ventures. All these efforts from the management researchers, experts and entrepreneurs will help in fostering economic value addition to the organizations. Naturally it will help people who happen to be part of the organization, other processes, its products and services. The value addition for the individual includes the spiritual, psychological and experiential realms. The organizations would be benefited in the entire socio-politico-economic spheres.
To achieve this end, this journal would have a different focus altogether in comparison to the existing journals in India, in terms of the high application orientation of the existing and emerging concepts and theories leading to excellent organizations. An important and unique feature of journal unique would be to conduct periodic surveys to assess the corporate excellence trends in the country.
Mission Statement:
The KIIT Journal of Management seeks to offer original and cutting edge directions for creating, grooming, and disseminating the novel thoughts and researches conducted on business sectors in India and abroad with pragmatic orientation.
Scope:
The journal would include articles relevant for the following:
Indian organizations operating in India and overseas
Multinational firms in India
Comparative analysis across firms and across geographical locations
*Parikalpana – means hypotheses or assumptions that a researchers wants to test.
The journal encourages submissions that follow diverse perspectives and methodologies, existing as well as novel, including but not limited to:
Conceptual articles, which would build new perspectives based on personal insights and or literature reviews.
Empirical articles, which are based on primary and or secondary data, and which may use qualitative and or quantitative methodologies
Case studies
Management games and exercises
Book reviews
Expert comments on the topical issues pertinent to performing organizations, and
Critiques of the articles included in the earlier issues of the journal.
Selection of Manuscripts
The manuscripts are selected after the blind peer-reviewed process. The process flow chart depicts the whole editorial review process.
